The Esthetics curriculum at Aesthetics Northwest Institute includes classroom instruction in theory and in-spa practical application to prepare our students for all areas of Esthetics.

Classroom Theory Includes:

Purpose and effect derived from a facial treatment
In-depth analyzation of all skin types and ethnic groups
Recognition of skin diseases and disorders

Product knowledge and ingredient evaluation
Theory of massage, types and purpose, benefits of manipulations
Safety, sanitation/disinfection, bacteriology
Anatomy
Histology
Physiology
Nutrition pertaining to health and function of skin
Oxygen therapies
Vitamin C therapies
Glycolics
AHA'S
European methods, etc.
Extractions, safety, sanitation/disinfection protocol.
Electricity and Light Therapy
Electrical currents and their application
Correct procedure for application of Tesla and Galvanic Currents
Usage of various machines and equipment
Pre and Post-Operative protocol for Laser and Cosmetic Surgery.

Practical Application Includes:

Facials
In-depth skin analyzation
Preventive, corrective and specific skin treatments for all types of skin
Wax depilatory - including leg, arm, underarm, bikini, and face
Lash and brow tinting and shaping
Contraindications and safety of application
Sanitation/Disinfection and Safety

Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Evening Hours Part Time:

Tuesday through Friday 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
